Trinidadian Prime minister off to meetings in Barbados

Port of Spain., 07/12/05 [AlterPresse] --- Prime Minister Patrick Manning left for Barbados Tuesday November 6 to attend a special meeting of Caricom heads of government this Wednesday.
The meeting will focus on the European Union’s planned 36 per cent price cut of its sugar subsidy to regional producers.
That hastily-prepared meeting occurs ahead of Thursday’s second summit of Heads of State and Governments of Caricom and Cuba, which Manning is also scheduled to attend. Both meetings will take place at the Hilton in Barbados’ capital, Bridgetown.
